Back at the beginning of March I decided to try out one of those Produce Delivery services. I shopped around a little bit, did some research, and finally landed on Imperfect Foods. Out of all of the services I looked at they seemed to have the most to offer at the best prices.
In the past I have used regular grocery delivery services and was often disappointed with the quality of the fruits and veggies I was getting. These were exactly the same products I was buying in store, yet they looked wilted and sad. I came to realize it was because I would take the time to find the best looking apples or freshest leafy greens I could find.
Naturally, I was reluctant to try Imperfect Foods because I imagined that all the items I would receive would be just like the ones I had gotten before. When my first box came I was pleasantly surprised! Not only was all of the produce beautiful, it was fresh and delicious too! Imperfect doesn’t mean sad or pathetic, it just means different.

Here I am 3 months later and still satisfied with every box I’ve received so far! Each week I get to select the items I will receive from what seems like hundreds of options. My favorites so far have been the sweet Blood Oranges and the savory Gouda Chicken Sausages! Maddie loves the Avocados, while a bit smaller than you might find in the stores, they are the perfect size for her!
The best part is, Imperfect Foods makes it easy! They drop my box off right on my porch. No hassle, no waiting, no fighting my way through the crowded one way asiles of the produce section! Not only that, but I’m saving money too. Plus, if you’re the type of person who cares about waste, Imperfect Foods is fighting to keep 20 Billion pounds of perfectly good food out of the landfill. So not only is it good for your pocket book, it’s good for the earth as well!
