In case you forgot, Father’s Day is tomorrow. If your dad is anything like mine, he usually asks for gift cards to his favorite home improvement stores or some gadget to finish an ongoing project.
But, if your dad is hard to shop for…you’re probably still looking for that perfect last minute gift. Here are a few ideas any dad will love…
1. A Gift Made with Love- I’m not talking about an art class coffee mug or fridge door art. Think about a skill your dad helped you develop. Did he teach you carpentry, painting, or music? Have another special skill like drawing, photography, or writing? Use these to create an amazing gift for your father that shows how much he means to you.
2. The Gift of Time- Does your dad enjoy the outdoors? How about movies? As we get older we tend to spend less time with our parents, dads especially. So maybe this year, spend some time with dear old dad doing something you know he’ll love.
3. A Giftcard- Find one for his favorite store. It may not seem like much, but just like my dad I’m sure yours has his eyes trained on something his little heart desires.
4. Something he Needs- It’s no secret dads are stubborn and won’t spend money unless they absolutely have to. Think about replacing that tattered old wallet or belt and maybe his worn out slipper or the pj’s missing the button in front…lord knows your mom will thank you.
5. The Gift of Hobbies- Does dear ol’ Dad enjoy a very specific niche hobby? My dad has tons. Give him a gift that helps him enjoy or even celebrate his hobbies.
What the perfect gift for your dad?
