Messy…

Messy is one of the first words that comes to mind when someone asks me what it’s like to be a dad. 

If I ever mention it, people tend to think of it as something negative. But, that’s not always the case. Sure, messy isn’t often a pleasant word, especially if you’re the one that has to clean it up. But the fun had while making that mess may be well worth the trouble.

Think back to when you were a kid; I’d be willing to bet that some of the most fun you ever had involved some sort of mess. Does catching frogs in a muddy pond or taking a roll down a grassy hill sound familiar?

Whether it’s finger painting, digging around in the dirt, or playing with Halloween pumpkin guts, that mess is almost guaranteed to make a memory. So jump in on the fun too. You might make your own fun memories!!

Just as long as you don’t ruin any rugs or light-colored furniture in the process.
